Should I start to learn 7 string guitar or 6?

I wanted to get a electric guitar and I was wondering if I should get a 7 string guitar or a 6 string. I will play Heavy Metal (Trivium, Iron Maiden, ect.)

A 6 string guitar is definitely the best for beginners.

You would have a really hard time learning on a 7 string, as all beginner Guitar Lessons are for 6 string guitar. 7 string guitars are tuned totally differently, so all chord shapes will be different, you won't be able to use most tablature, etc.
