Should I have to press very hard on a steel-String Acoustic to get a clear sound?
I recently got a new guitar and i have to press very hard on the strings to get a clear sound. So hard that the strings leave marks in my fingers. Is it just that its new and I need to wear out the strings a little or is it something else?
Those strings don't sound that great to me. You can easily clean out strings every week or so by running a piece of tissue down the strings. But, umm, if the strings don't sound loud and clean unless you wipe em down. Then i strongly suggest buying some Martin strings or D'addrio strings. Those strings are really good. Hope i helped!
