DJ Equipment?
I'm researching DJ equipment looking to be a small time DJ. My budget is $1,000, and I need good DJ equipment that is built strong to last long. My friends say that DJ Companies such as Pyle Pro, Pyramid, or Gemini sucks. I wanna DJ with software such as Traktor studio 3 or Final Scratch, and wanna buy superior DJ equipment on my budget. Starting off with software I would never sanction. On the real, find somebody in your family with a closet full of vinyl and grab it-go to flea markets garage sales swap meets mom and pop stores. Learn to mix with this stuff. Get in touch with the roots...equipment wise search craigslists and make offers...fortunately for you their was a big bell curve that started about 10 years ago where everyone wanted to be a dj most of these people have given up thank gawd. AFTER you have learned the basics mixing, scratching, and juggling find a local dive bar offer to entertain the drunkards for free (this is when your aunt fannie's Led Zeppelin records get pulled out) turn it into a success start asking for money or move on. If you really must buy software RIGHT NOW! Buy serato or f that step your game up and use ms pinky turn yourself into a vj that is where the future money is...truth oh yeah whenever you are practicing record it listen to where your mistakes are if their are no mistakes turn it into a mix cd give it to college radio stations...better yet attend a college with a radio station...and rock that....NO REQUESTSSSSSSSS!
