We are setup as a band in a medium sized church so we play relatively loud but not ear-piercing. The problem is our 9 singers cannot hear themselves over the church speakers which are wired via a simple mixer board. As head of the program, I have decided to go ahead and invest in a monitor that they can face themselves to hear themselves. NOW to my question, what size monitor do I need? How about the wattage? Do they all have volume adjustments because that is something I will need. Also, I am afraid since I am running the out of the monitor to the overhead speakers it will turn them ALL down and that would lead to one being extremely loud over others! need some advice and thanks!!!
I know exactly what you're talking about because I've been through the same thing the singers are going through. I do believe that the monitors have their own volume adjustments and if they don't then you can control it from the panel. Our monitors we control from the panel.
