truly, what is the difference between using an actual soft rod, on your child, and your own hand?
Can you take a nail and nail it into the wall by just using hand? No. They made hammers to get the job done, you still use the same force, but the hammer does all the work.
Now with your hand, why not use a belt since a belt can "get the job done" better than you hand, like how your hand isn't good to nail things into the wall, your hand isn't the best tool to spank your kids.
Right?
I suppose...
I think it's okay to give kids a spanking every now and then. But if you spank them everyday over little things, that's bordering on abuse. I say talk to the kid first and try to settle things peacefully. If not, then it's time for a spanking. Some kids need to be spanked since obviously just talking to them isn't doing any good. It isn't abuse if a kid is running around misbehaving. If all you do is sit back and calmly say "Oh, Johnny, don't do that..." but never do anything about it the kid will never learn the consequence.
The people who call it abuse truly amuse me. Obviously they've never seen real abuse before. A red mark that stays for ten minutes as a consequence for breaking rules is nowhere near on the same level as a black eye that stays for a week as a consequence for simply looking at their parent the wrong way. There's a huge difference.
