How can I get the best distortion effect with guitar?
I want the best, heaviest, and deepest possible distortion effect for my guitar. Also I prefer Boss pedals. Which of these are the heaviest?
Mega Distortion
Metal Core
Metal Zone
And what others are there? Can those 3 above be combined or would it mess up the sound?
Metal Core is quite good for metal, I've heard.
It also depends on the amp, though, and the type of guitar (ESP, Jackson, BC Rich and Ibanez are the best brands for metal) you have.
The Metal Core should do well though, you just need to put the gain up to the max and on the equalizer 'low' to 8-10 and keep 'middle' and 'high' to about a 2-5 setting. That should do a good job.
