Then a local band playing copyright music?
For example, if my band could play "You Shook Me All Night Long" AC / DC, we could exercise at a local talent show where we give credit to AC / DC without a license or something else? If you have found the response on a site, please link to this site for me. Thank you!
Well, I'm not 100% sure about this, but if you play a local talent show and are not paid, I think it is perfectly fine. I think that's When You get paid there may be a problem. But I played in many bands and only pay for concerts in clubs and biker gatherings and company parties and we played many pieces of cover. I do not really think a band will take care of a local group with his music. It is generally that if you make a CD or something and sell, as you step on the toes a little, and you would be open to a breach of copyright if you do not pay user fees. I've never heard of a band just playing in a bar or something to all problems. (I guess that's even possible that the owners clubs which are licensed for live music may pay a fee that covers such things) as the radio, I think playing a licensing fee for HD music. EDIT: After further research, I found that I am a bit wrong. free shows are not running is OK. But any time money is made or received for copyright stuff playing, you're "supposed" to pay a license fee for music publishers, ASCAP or BMI that kind of thing. But I stand by my previous statements, I do not think you have a problem at all. I never had any and I never heard of anyone ever a. Just rock and have a good time, no worries ..
